I'm back from my 75 day Mountain to Sea Trail thruhike. I took 10 days off for a total of 65 days to travel about 987 miles total. That number includes ferry miles and Appalachian Trail hiking to Davenport Gap. I averaged over 15 miles per hiking day. That number drops by 2 miles per day if I include my days off in the calculation.
It was a trip that I'm glad I did although it wouldn't be for all long distance hikers. I'm finishing my online journal now. It should be done by the time you are reading this. Check it out.
